Q: There is a noise in the steering of my new 2008 Toyota tundra truck, what is it?
Toyota Tundra 2008 truck was purchased three days ago. The dealer ordered this truck from another location. When I test drove the truck they ordered there was a whining sound when turning the steering wheel. I was told by the technician that there is nothing wrong but the salesman hears what I hear. Any idea what this problem is? dancin7170 what are your sources? This recall seems like a big deal! Toyota recalls trucks? "Toyota announced this morning 245.000+ recalls on there trucks." How did you find out? Does anyone know about this recall? My truck is a 2008 a Toyota tundra doublecab. Any help would be appreciated.

A: Check the recalls on that truck.Toyota announced this morning 245.000+ recalls on there trucks.Power steering pump is faulty, this is a dealer repair, you can take it to another Toyota dealership if they are not listening to what you are.It is still covered under warranty no matter which dealer you take it to.Good luck.

Q: Where's the cheapest place that I can get a V8 2008 Toyota Tundra?
anybody know

A: This is what worked for me... Once I determined the options & color I wanted (by visiting my local dealer), I sent an e-mail to 4 other dealers in the area (I based this on how far I was willing to drive, 1 hr in my case). In my email, I described the vehicle I was looking for, with options, and the time frame I was going to make the purchase. I was surprised how responsive they were. I was contacted by all the dealers within 24 hrs. Many of them wanted my phone number to discuss it further. I think mostly to make sure I was a serious buyer. I still had to negotiate a bit more to get the lowest price. I did this by sharing the best price I had been given so far. For example... "Is the price you gave me your best price? I'm just checking because dealer X is offering it to me for $___." You'll know when you're getting the lowest price when they start saying that they can't beat that price. Then you might ask them if their is anything else that they can do like... can you match that price and throw in a years worth of oil changes. I was not rude to any of the dealers, just dealt with them in a respectful manner. They will want to get the highest price, however, they know you are trying to get the lowest price. Best of luck

A: Any Toyota dealership should be able to tell you exactly when.

Q: Will lifting my truck void my waranty on it and will it be safe?
My dad wants to get me a 2008 toyota tundra. I want to raise it between 4"-6". Will this void my waranty with the delership and will it be safe because some people say lifting a truck does not make it any more dangerous and some people say it is? any thoughts?

A: Warranty voided and the truck will handle like a PIG on pavement because you will have thrown the centre of gravity off by raising it 4''-6'' above where the designers intended it to be for ''safe'' handling.

Q: Can anyone tell me where to find cheap rim/tire deals online?
I'd like at least 20 inch rims... it's for a 2008 Toyota Tundra... so nothing low profile on the tires, but more so into bigger tires. Thanks

A: www.tirerack.com

Q: Toyota Tundra or Chevy Silverado?
both 2008's and brand new. which one would be better. ive heard toyotas have a 4 star crash test rating...while others have 5

A: The Silverado. It was rated to be better than the Tundra in almost every category other than 0-60mph Acceleration. The Toyota suffers an a low-rent interior, over-the-top styling, and a badge most truckers cannot live with. The Silverado was also reported to be more reliable than the Tundra, as well as a better resale value. Good Luck

Q: Is a 2008.5 Nissan Titan a good pickup truck to purchase?
Is it worth the cheaper price of the Ford-150 Lariat or the Toyota Tundra?

A: the titan is a great pickup, powerful, and quick for a big truck. i have a 04 titan le with 9k on it and i wouldn't get any other truck. the tundra is expensive and they have issues with the new 5.7 liter engine snapping cams and trans problems. i dont know anything on the ford but i still would take the titan over any other truck. hit up titantalk.com for more info on the new titan. i am a member and there are plenty of knowledgeable people there that know everything about the titan. good luck with the new ride

Q: Help me name my Truck ?

Q: I have a 12" Memphis dual voice coil flat sub in a 1.5cubic foot ported box with a Rockford Fosgate punch 2002?
I am running a pioneer 4000 head unit. The sub doesn't sound as good as I think it should. I am running the amp as a single channel to a bridged sub? The positive of the amp, channel 1, to the positive of the sub, the negative of that connection to the positive of the other connection and the negative of that connection to the negative on the amp, channel 2. What am I doing wrong? It is in a 2008 Toyota Tundra under the rear seat facing down. Its only 1 sub.

A: Well this info that I am going to give you should be used with caution. If you hook up the dual voice coil sub positive to positive and negative to negative it will increase the power out put of your amp by dropping the ohm load the amp will see. Since ohms are resistance it allows more power to be created. Be careful not to over strain the amp or the sub woofer. Make sure to look at what ohm load the amp is stable at and how much power it produces at that ohm load. Make sure that it does not over power your sub woofer or you will blow it. How you will figure out what ohm load you sub is producing is each voice coil has its own ohm resistance whether it is 2,4, or 8 ohms if you run the sub how i told you in parallel two 4 ohm voice coils will create a 2ohm load on the amp. How you have it running now if the voice coils were 4 ohms you are creating an 8 ohm load to the amp. Do a little research of your own and look up parallel connections and series connections online and pull up a demonstration picture. Hope this helps. OHHHHHHHHHHH and also look at the specks for the sub if its a small enclosure sub you might have it in to big of a box. It doesn't make it sound as good and it lowers the power handling of what the sub. PS if you get a new box go with a sealed one because the sound quality is better and in a truck you need that. Oh and the guy above me doesn't know what he is talking about. As long as you have a 1" clearance from the box to the cab floor you are fine. Plus having the sub firing down cleans up the sound quality a little. You do however lose a little in loudness though.
