Q: Which is a better truck to buy a 2006 tOYOTA TUNDRA, 2006 NISSAN TITAN OR A 2006 DODGE MEGA CAB DIESEL TRUCK?
Which truck will last longer? Which one can work up to several hundred thousands miles?

A: The Dodge will last longer than the other two trucks. The Cummins in that dodge will be running when those others ones are being melted down again. If someone doesn't think that the Cummins is not the better engine, then they really need to look at the stats, please. They will always have more power and WILL last longer."it leaks everywhere", that doesn't make any sense.Anyways, a Cummins 5.9 can sustain 1000 horsepower with stock bottom-end. Do you have any idea how much torque that is? Over 2000. OK, so you won't crank your pickup that high. You still have the engine that is TOUGH enough to handle that. That means it will last longer.Just compare the torque. They're in buses and dump trucks for crying out loud. Oh yeah the pickup. It's got more room and is also tougher than the others. Have you seen a Toyota pulling a loaded horse trailer? I haven't.But even pulling a boat it's bottomed out, pathetic.

Q: Does the 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 have a power seat option?
My auto broker went looking for an 05 or 06 Tundra Limited for me. He called and said they bought me an 06 SR5. I asked specifically for power seats and leather. I have found that a leather option was available on the SR5 but I cant find information on power seats. Any help? its a crew cab if that helps

A: In the generation of Tundra that the 2006 was built, the limited model was the only model available with power seats. I'll be frank with you though, the manual seats are more flexible in adjustments than the power seats. The power seat has about 2 inches less travel backward (if you are taller the manual seat will give you more legroom) and the manual seat still has a height adjustment as well. Personally, the manual seats in the 2006 Tundra are more flexible and comfortable, but ultimately it is your choice. So in answer to your question, the SR5 model in the 2006 Tundra does not have or offer power seats. Hope this helps. Ken

Q: 2006 Toyota Tundra Daytime safety lights?
Does anyone know how to de-activate the automatic daytime headlights that stay on? I looked all through the owners manual to see if there was a way. Couldn't find anything. I could have missed it.

A: There are two ways of turning them off. If you have the parking brake on before turning the engine on, the daytime-running lights will stay off. If you're looking to drive the Truck with them off (I don't necessarily understand why you would want them off as it give you a 10% decrease in liklihood that you'll get into an accident) you would probably have to find a shop to disable it. You probably won't be able to get a Dealership to do it for liability reasons. Hope this helps. wnyken

Q: can 24 inch rims fit on a 2006 toyota tundra?

A: Why are you people so infatuated with rims?

Q: On Toyota Tundra (2006), do the airfilters really never have to be changed?
I was told this by a local mechanic who said they were similar to the K&N Air Filters which only have to be maintanced, versus changed every few thousand miles. Hellp.

A: Thats a bunch of bull, they need cleaning every 4,000 mi., and replacing every two years. George

Q: anyone know where i can buy some Superman seat covers for a 2006 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab?

Q: 2006 toyota tundra, put new pads/rotors on,, frontend vibrates when brakes are applied, how can I fix it?
I wanted to just get my factory original rotors turned(would have been their first turn), but they didnt have time to turn them, so they gave me a new in the box unwrapped set. I put them on with the new pads, and sprayed it all down with brake cleaner. had them on now for 1 week, and they shake the front end.. anyone got any ideas, recommendations???

A: your brand new rotors are warped, I have seen brand new ones right out of the box be warped.

Q: does any one know exactly where to install a tornado fuel saver on a toyota tundra 2006 sr5 v8?

A: i agree with the above posts. any thing you place in the intake system will resist air flow, if you want better mileage you need to install a k&n air filter keep you car/truck in tune replace plugs and wires about every 20-30,000 miles change your oil and use syinthtic oils if you can these few things will do alot more then you think

Q: On Toyota Tundra (2006), 4x2, if I were to add a 6" lift and run 32" all terrain tires.....?
Would it effect the transmission's life extremely? Just under normal, on pavement conditions? Not off roading, driving fast, "dogging the truck",etc. Just curious if lowering the gears would be worth the money. Because I still want the top end speed and also, dont want to spend so much money!

A: Seems like alot of lift just to fit 32" tires. I had a 97 toyota 4runner 2wd that had 31's from the factory and I rember that the tundras have the same size tires. Second, 32's should not affect your transmission life much, and regearing should not be nesicary, it is not that big of a change. I am currently driving a 84 4runner that is primarily a woods truck with 32's on it, I have 6 inches of lift and I look rediculus that high in the air with only 32's but I need the room for articulation. Stepping up from 28"tires stock to the 32's my speedometer is only off by about8 mph @ 55 so when i am marking 55 I am catualy doing 63. If your truck has the 31" tires i belive you do, then you would probably be less than 3 mph off @ 55. I would not regear either. Best of luck in what ever you decide too do.
