Q: How much should a 2001 Toyota Tundra 4x4 w/ 103,000 miles be sold for?
It blue books for 12,000 but i am trying to get 10,000. but with gas prices, trucks are going for alot cheaper. So It is on autotrader for 8,500 as of tomorow.
A: Well if you already know the blue book and you understand that its going to be a gas hog but you are enticed by the cheap price by the dealer then it sounds like you have made a decision.
Personally im more concerned about fuel economy than what im driving.

Q: What should I get for my 2001 Toyota Tundra?
It's pewter. I have a AEM cold air intake already installed...which sounds great! I just ordered a Extang BlackMax roll up soft tonneau cover which will be here within a week. It has the step bars on the side, which are black. I dont know what else to get. I am looking at getting a bug shield and rain guards for the windows, but after that...what should I look at getting next?
A: instead of doing all that,Trade it in for a 2006 toyota tundra with everything.

Q: 2001 Toyota Tundra V8 SR5 cold start problems, HELP!!!?
When the temp is around 10 degrees or below my 2001 Toyota Tundra V8 SR5 gives me trouble starting. I turn the engine over and it fires for a second then stops. The only way it will stay running is if I immediately floor it when it fires and I have to hold the pedal to the floor for it to stay running and the check engine light comes on. It will stay running after several minutes but there is no response when I push the gas pedal until it is almost floored. If i try to drive it after it is warm the gas pedal still does the same thing ( it has to be floored but will only get up to about 45 to 50 MPH.) There is no response on the gas unless after it is warm I shut the engine off and restart it again then it drives normally. The engine light stays on and it will reset itself after a while. I already replaced the Air Intake Sensor on the air filter case. ($90) Could this be caused by the Throttle Position Sensor? I don't want to spend another $140 dollars if I don't have to.
A: These vehicles have a Cold Start Valve that acts as an extra injector and adds more fuel when teh car is cold. The other thing to look for is the Thermo Time switch, but look at the Cold Start Valve first
Q: I need some tires for my 2001 toyota Tundra?
I need some 245/70R/16 or 265/70R/16.
And i'd like as cheap as i can get. I'm not cheap. It's a long story and i just need some tires thats its.
I've found some that are about $68. Does it get any cheaper? someone help please.
A: Check out craigslist.com for your state and area. There's always people selling stuff on there. I just put brand new snow tires on my truck. Cooper Discoverer M&S. I got them for $300. Normally they're like 125 a piece or more. It's a good site to use when you are looking for anything cheap.

Q: I have a 2001 toyota tundra pick up with the large v-8 engine. Was told I need a new exhaust manifold on right
Was told if not replaced it would affect my emission controls. Is this true?? Would it damage engine? I live in area where emission tests are not required.
A: Even if testing is not required, you run the risk if damaging the engine and the vehicle becoming difficult, if not impossioble to operate. I'd get it fixed (and check the dealer for service bulletins and/or recall notices; I seem to recall reading something some time ago about Toyota Tundra exhaust problems!). Good luck!
Q: 2001 Toyota Tundra Cab AirFilter?
Does a 2001 Toyota Tundra have a Cab Air Filter? A lot of people are saying it's behind a glove box. However, there isn't one. Please help.
A: '01 Tundra didnt have the cabin filter yet--not until the later body style. Its only behind the glovebox on the Newer body
Q: 2001 Toyota Tundra stalling when idle?
I have a 2001 Toyota tundra and about 6 months ago the truck started killing when I would come to a stop. It only did it sometimes so I lived with it for a while. Yesterday it got REAL bad. Now when I start the engine the truck will idle...maybe....but when I put it in gear to go it kills. The only way to make it go is to give it a lot of gas then put it in gear then it peels out.Once I start going every thing is fine until I come to a stop then it dies again then I repeat the process all over. start...lots of gas, then put in gear, peel out,go. When I have to go in reverse it kills, so I have to give it lots of gas and peels out in reverse, then I put the brake on,then the truck dies. What could be causing this? This cannot be good for the truck,or me....Im gonna get a ticket!Let me know what you think it is. Hope its an easy fix I can do myself. Thanks.
A: time for a new truck......I have a 2000 Ford F-150 With 218k miles on it, it still runs like new, I never had any trouble with that truck, Cars last forever if u take good care of them, I still have an 1986 Taurus LX with 296k miles on it, the only thing that had problems was the transmission and some hoses at around 165k back in 1997 and that is my weekend and my long trip car. I'm never getting rid of that car until it crashes and theres nothing i can do
Q: is it hard to change the differential fluid in a 2001 Toyota Tundra truck, is it just drain and fill?
thanks
A: Drain and fill, just check the owners manual as to what fluid (correct) type goes in there or any additives that may need to be added. If it requires an additive and you don't use it (or the wrong fluid) your gears (differential, actually) may chatter and grab.
Other than that go for it.
Q: Can I do an oil change on my 2001 toyota tundra?
A: remove the drain plug. drain oil into pan. reinstall drain plug. remove oil filter. install new filter. add oil to engine

Q: I have a 2001 Toyota Tundra , anyone want to buy it. It is the trd limited. 102000 miles still in great shap
I live in Florida if you are interested
A: Looking for one but live in Texas.
Q: 2001 Toyota Tundra Heater?
Packrats decided to make a home in the blower housing and burnt out the blower. I replaced the blower but now there is only a off or high speed nothing works in between. Where is the variable speed? The switch or something else?
I replaced the blower no resistor there, however in the heatercore housing there is a ceramic resistor?
A: Blower motor resistor sounds like it's bad. Basically where you plugged the wires into the motor, that plug in the motor has two screws you remove and attached to the plug on the inside is a plate (the blower motor resistor) you can take that to toyota or maybe a parts store. Pretty easy fix, if you blower motor is somewhat accesible. Good Luck.
Q: 2001 Toyota tundra engine lite won't go off?
A: Remove the POSITIVE battery cable from the battery, for 5 mins- this will reset the ECU, and before you hook the battery back up, turn the key to the "ON" position 3 times, and while it is in the on position , hook the battery cable back up and start the car ,
It should go off unless you have an enternal, our air intake problem!!!
