A: On the lower left side of the dash is the reset button.
1. Set tire pressures.
2. Turn the ignition on, but don't start the truck.
3. If the light is on, press and hold the button until the light goes out and then release the button.
4. Once the light is out, or if it was out already, press and hold the button until the light blinks 3 times, then release the button.
NOW you are done!

Q: 2007 toyota tacoma oil change question?
Last oil change i did was at 5,000 miles...i just hit 10,000 miles (going bythe 5,000 oil change rule) i bought in my tacoma for its 10,000 mile oil change. and he said iam not due till 13800 miles yet...so i ended up not getting the oil change....should i just stick by the 5,000 rule or go by what the dealer said?? i drive heavy traffic every day! and i check my dip stick and it is kinda dark but no sludgy.....plz reply with any adivce....thanks oh and its conv. oil
A: All Toyota vehicles are due for servicing every 5k. At 10K its the stand service which usually runs about 70 bucks depending on your locations. This basically consists of an oil change, tire rotation, basic check of vehicle. You can actually get away with an "express lube plus" which is about 15 bucks cheaper. Keep in mind since you are driving often you DO WANT TO HAVE YOUR TIRES ROTATED. You want even wear on these tires since they tend to be pricey. The 13500 mile service they were advising was not just the oil change but the basic servicing which includes the tire rotation and the inspection, topping of of fluids etc. Just ask for the express lube plus. Its all you really need. You don't really need to worry about larger services until 15k, in which case its recommended replacing the air filter. You seem to care about your vehicle, just take a look at your owners manual. That will let you know exactly what you need to do. As far as the "Master service tech" above me, he should know synthetic oil lasts 7500-10000 miles and not 5K. Any dealership that tells you that you need to change your oil every 3K is either lying, or retarded. You can email me with further questions if you like.

Has anyone upgraded the factory sub in a Tacoma double cab (post 2005 body style)? I know there's a company that makes an enclosure called Taco Tunes or something like that that fits behind the rear seat... does anyone have any experience with these?
Will it sound any better than the factory sub behind the rear seat? The factory sub distorts terribly on certain frequencies at higher volume. There's no room behind the seats for any other prefab enclosure. I don't need a ton of bass, I just want it to sound clean.
A: Im having the same problem with my 2008 Double Cab. It all depends on your price range. Mine was only a few hundred so what I'm doing is I found a pair of two used 8" Kickers in custom boxes that are made for Tacomas. I found them on ebay and it turns out the guy lives literally 2 minutes away from me. Another option is to buy the JBL Loaded two 10's that are in the slim fit boxes. There like $500 but are the best in the game. Door number 3 is to get a bazooka tube subwoofer and put it inside the cab. Option 4 is to buy 2 individual 10's and put them on the floor of the back seat, this will take up a significant amount of room in the back. Ebay sells cheap boxes that are custom made for our Tacoma. There only like $100 or so. If I were you id look into either the tube or two 8's.
Q: 2007 Toyota Tacoma?
Does anyone know how to program a spare key for this model/year? I'd like to save the $50 if I can. Thanks for any help!! A website link would be helpful if you know of one.
A: I need to know if it is a black or grey key you are trying to program, and make sure that you have a black key to program from. If you are programming a black key from a black key, do this:
1. Insert old black key into ignition. LEAVE THE IGNITION OFF THE ENTIRE TIME.
2. Pump the gas five times
3. Pump brake six times.
4. Remove old black key from ignition.
5. Put new black key in ignition.
6. Pump gas one time.
7. Let the truck sit like that until the security light quits blinking.
If it is a grey key, do exactly the same, but pump gas 4 times and brake 5 times.
If this does not work, then it cannot be done manually and must be done at a dealer with the scan tool or Techstream. Some of the newer vehicles must be programmed electronically, so I am not sure. And it will cost you, as I have never seen a dealer do it for free.
If you do not have a black key to start with, you cannot program it. You cannot add a key yourself if you only have a sub (valet) key. It can be done, but the dealer has to erase all the old keys and start over.

A: Try 29k out the door, for most cars that are foreign the mark up on it is higher. Low ball and then work up. All that will happen is they will say no and then give you a counter offer. Then you go back and make another offer.

I am looking to purchase a 4x2, 4.0 V6 engine, Prerunner access cab. I notice that all the other vehicles have large rebates such as the highlander, corrola, and tundras. Why not the Tacomas? All I see is a $500 rebate for access cabs and $750 for regular cabs. Not a good deal I think. I see that they already have the 2008 tacoma models out and I don't see a difference in the appearance and options. The only difference is the price is slightly higher than the 2007's. Will the 2007 models stay the same in their price? Or will there be any high rebates on these models?
A: I bought an 07' in jan 07' and the sticker was $25,200. I got it for $23,000 with all taxes and fees included! Shop more than one dealer and get quotes on paper. The Tacoma is in demand and rebates aren't likely but you can still work your price down. Tell them you are shopping against the nissan frontier and get a quote on one(even though you would never buy it)! Good luck!

A: if the bolt apttern is the same they should work. as long as the rim is not too "deep" there should not be a problem otherwise it will rub on the frame or body when you turn..... check the hub diameter and the center hole in the rims and make sure they are the same also.
