Q: What cars use the same MAF sensor as a 1994 toyota Tacoma and what function does each wire do?


A: There were no Tacomas made until 1995.5. Are you referring to just the pick-up? MAF sensors have couple wires in them that detect the temperature of the incoming air and tell the computer how much fuel to use depending on the temp of the air coming in.

Q: Gas mileage problem.(1994 Toyota Sr5 Tacoma v6 4 wheel drive)?

A: First of all, are you sure you have a Tacoma? Tacomas didn't arrive until 1995.5. You should be getting about 18-21 MPG with your truck if it is a Taco. Airing your tires up to the correct pressure, changing out your air filter, replacing your spark plugs and wires and changing over to synthetic fluids will help with your MPG. Driving like a grandmother will also help.

Q: Are Toyota Tacoma's from 1994-2001 good trucks ?

A: toyota had numerous issues with the V-6's in the tacoma's from 95-00. the 4 was a good if somewhat weak motor. they were reliable and tough with a reputation that is such that they are the most widely used truck in the world (called the hilux overseas). they are even used as military vehicles, preferred for their reliability and ability. however, their seats are terribly uncomfortable and sit very low to the floor which exaggerates how uncomfortable they are. they get okay gas mileage although in the 4 cyl variants, ford and chevy get better mpgs.

Not interested in Tacoma. This was the pre-Tacoma pickup that had no real name. I have always wanted one. I live in AZ but for the right truck I will fly halfway across the country or pay to have it shipped. Interested in manual trans only, and prefer SR5 with original paint.

A: i am looking too, its rare to find a clean non abused one with out paying top dollar. and its 1989-1995 in 1995 they had a pickup/hilux and the first year of the tacoma, plus they had the T100 in production. which engine are you interested in? 22re was a awesome motor 10/10. 2.2l four cylinder. 3.0 V6 3vze? which had problems i wouldnt reccommend. or the 3.4 V6 5vzfe? which is a good v6 came in the 96 t100's and tacoma's. look on craigslist.org cars.com motors.ebay.com autotrader.com thats where i look.
