The official UK cars pumped out 326 bhp and 4.9-second 0-60 times, although the Japanese-market car that continued (badged RZ or GZ) was slightly slower: 0-60 in all of 5.1 seconds. A normally-aspirated version was also offered in Japan, the SZ (225 bhp, 0-60 in 6.5 seconds) although, quite honestly, why bother when the turbos are so cheap? You certainly don't reap the reward in fuel economy: the SZ does only 20 mpg, compared with the RZ/GZ's 18 mpg...
With the fourth generation of the Supra, Toyota took a big leap in the direction of a more serious high performance car. Test model pre-production started in December 1992 and official mass production began in April 1993.[12] The new Supra was completely redesigned, with rounded body styling and featured two new engines: a naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE producing 220 hp (160 kW; 220 PS) at 5800 rpm and 210 ft·lb (280 N·m) at 4800 rpm of torque and a twin turbocharged 2JZ-GTE making 280 hp (209 kW; 284 PS) and 318 ft·lb (431 N·m) of torque for the Japanese version. For the export model (America/Europe) Toyota upgraded the Supra turbo's engine (smaller, steel wheeled turbochargers, bigger fuel injectors, etc.). This increased the power output to 320 hp (240 kW; 320 PS) at 5600 rpm and 315 ft·lb (427 N·m) at 4000 rpm. The turbocharged variant could achieve 0–60 mph in as low as 4.6 seconds and 1/4 mile (402 m) in 13.1 seconds at 109 mph (175 km/h) [2]. The turbo version was tested to reach over 291 km/h (181 mph) all-stock, but the cars are restricted to just 180 km/h (112 mph) in Japan and 250 km/h (155 mph) elsewhere. European versions also had an air intake on the bonnet (hood). Drag coefficient is .31 for the naturally aspirated models and .32 for the turbo models and N/A's with the rear spoiler.

i am looking at buying a 93-97 toyota supra. I live in canada, and i was looking at transport canadas list of vehicles that cant be imported from the states or something and 93-97 supras were on there, does that mean i cant buy one from the states?
here is the link http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/importation/VAFUS/list/TOYOTA_LEXUS.htm
A: good luck with purchase, not only are these expensive but super rare to find in good condition. Find a car that is not wanted by every car enthusiast in the world.
Q: i'm 17 and looking to buy a toyota supra 1993 model.do you know any cheap insurance companies UK only?
A: For your age and vehicle type you are not going to get cheap insurance...Its better to get a smaller engine for a year build up 1yrs ncb which is 30 percent discount and then get then maybe go up to a bigger engine..You could try Quinn Direct...
Q: Gas Mileage on a 1993-98 Toyota Supra Compared to an 2003 Toyota Matrix?
I'm thinking on gettin a supra 2 dr targa top (automatic) the 1993-1998 one, anyone in that age vracket. Now, gas down here in canada is reachin well, ontario, toronto is reaching a high of 1.25 a litre. My dad own a matrix (1.8L) and it's AMAZING ON GASS!!! Whats better? he's given me the matrix, but i want the supra. What a better car for a better ocassion? ie. long driving in city, crusing etc.
A: Here's the best gas mileage for 2008 cars

but go here to check specific make/models and years

We're looking to buy a Toyota Corolla or Yaris or Mazda3 due to their good gas MPG.
Q: Why do you think the Toyota Supra is so under-rated?
I have just bought a 1993 Supra and I think its awesome but I hardly ever see them around and no one seems to know much about them, whereas everyone knows heaps about evos and skylines etc. I know they are quietly popular as every online auction I was watching for them they got snapped up really quickly, just no one talks about them.
A: I think a lot of it stems from the fact that the Supra was the first mainstream Japanese sports car. In general, Toyotas were producing relatively mundane models and people were probably thrown off a bit. There's a bit difference between the family Camry and that beast that you're driving! There were also complaints about the weight of the Supra and the tendency of the back end to kick out in corners (if you don't know how to handle RWD). Price also does play a part in this, as not a lot of people were willing to spend that much money for a Toyota. Funny that nearly 15 years later, people are willing to pay double that to get one haha.
And though the general public may not have seen the Supra for what it was back then, the car already had a huuuuge fan base with the previous models, primarily the MKIII which has been called The Poor Man's Corvette.
Hey, I will take my Supras over a Vette anyday!
I do disagree with you, however, on the fact that the Skylines are well known: while they are quite popular now, they were just as ignored, if not more so, since they weren't available in the US, as the Supra. I wouldn't even class Evos into this category at all. Every 17 year old spoiled brat wants one of these and that is only after the whole street racing craze really took off here in the states.
Q: can i convert my toyota supra?
i have a 1993 toyota supra twin turbo and i would like to know if i can convert it to a four wheel drive as it has got 455 bhp to the back wheels only and it likes to slide
A: NO
Q: toyota supra?
is it possible to get a 1993 toyota supra non turbo for 6,000? cause i seen one for that much and i think its too good to be true
A: That is a very good price. the kelley blue book value (www.kbb.com) for a 93 supra in good condition with 100,000 miles is about 12,000 dollars.
That doesn't mean the car isn't good. the buyer might be very motivated to sell, or it may have mechanical problems.
Have it checked out by a mechanic before purchasing.
Q: What should i do about getting a Toyota Supra as my first car?
I am going to be 17 in 1-4 years and I am planning to buy a Toyota Supra as my first car. I live in Ontario, Canada and I would like to know how much it would cost to buy a 1993-1998 (preferably a 1993 or 1994) Toyota Supra. Where should I get one and should I get a damaged Supra? Any information would be helpful. I know I am thinking a few years ahead but i would like to start saving money now so when i am 17 i can buy the car and still have money for insurence. Any help is appriciated. Thank You!
A: You better start seriously saving. Those cars are very expensive used probably around 30 grand or more for a low mileage mint turbo Supra in the years you are talking about. Dont forget about insurance. Being a 17 year old kid you are talking 2-300 a month easy. Unless your parents are rich or you want exist just to pay for a car I would think about something else. You will have your whole life to buy fast and fun cars.
Q: What should i do to my Supra?
1993 Toyota Supra
I'm on P's (well not currently as i lose my license for a month for being 39km over the limit) so i'm not allowed any engine modifications.
Inside the car i've got 2x 12 inch subs in boxes, 6 inch splits with 1 inch tweeters in the back seat side mounts, 6x9's in the front doors and then stock tweeters in the front. Alpine head unit (which i dont like that much) 1000 watt + custom built amp under the front passanger seat, 250... or maybe its 350 i forget amp in the back... Blue neons under drivers and passanger seat, blue led aimed at the subs... ummm... gps.... Body modifications are all a bit expensive but ive put a black grill in the front bumper
So im looking for creative interior add-on's
I was thinking blue led tyre caps so when im driving u get a blue ring around my rims...
So what else do you think i should ad... fun stuff that people see and are all 'haha thats cool'... it can be tacky i dont take it all to serious.
Thanks.
A: Dont buy the LED lights for your rims or your windshield wipers. Do tastefull upgrades. Buy some racing seats or have your interior redone in vinyl or leather. Put in a DVD player or a Playstation 3. Little cheap upgrades look like crud! Save a little cash and buy a body kit or a cool front lip spoiler. Stuff that you can get from Pepboys for your car will get you laughed at. Visit www.nopi.com for real Supra parts
Q: What do you think your car says about you?
I have a 1993 Toyota Supra, I think this says that I am fun and unpretentious with no worries. Do you think what your car is saying is accurate?
Thanks for answering :)
A: v-8 1992 camaro...
Think it says I'm a girl who loves muslce cars but cant afford an old one and i love letting people know that its NOT a guys car by making it purple. Also says i like having fun. Possibly tells ppl that I don't mind trying to run from my problems (since it has a bigger motor than most female owned cars)
First car was a supra though!!
Q: toyota supra for sale?
any place on the net wher i could find a toyota supra(1994-newer)
or a mazda rx7(1993-newer)
and if so then i'd need a website
thanx
A: Yahoo Auto
cars.com
autotrader.com
recycler.com
just type in your zip code, and they will find cars near you...
Q: can i change automatic transmission to manual transmission on a toyota supra?
twin-turbo (1993-1998)
A: its possible but its really a difficult thing to do you have to go get all the parts that aren't there for the manual tranny ... then you get to possibly weld the supports in place. and all the pivot points. in the long run its less hassle to keep the automatic tranny .. or to buy a supra with a manual tranny
Q: Where can you find a Toyota Subra N/A....Or a car like it?
Im looking to buy a 1993-1999 toyota supra N/A....but i cannot find one for under 15,000.....
My next choice is a 1994 3000gt VR-4......I live in michigan so the AWD will be good....
but I want a car that is really nice and unique....but not over $15,000.....
Do u have any recommendations.
Thanks so much
Bump.......
A: try going to ebay
Q: whats the differance in sprak plugs?
i have a toyota supra 1993 twin turbo and it needs a new spark plug. i go for top of the line parts.... does eny 1 know the top 3 spark plugs and how much do they cost?
A: I go with the Bosch Quantum 4 spark plugs, they don't work on all cars so I'd check with the parts department first before you buy them. They offer a great spark to ensure that all of you fuel is used in the combustion chamber and no excess is sent out through your exhaust valves
