Q: 2006 toyota sienna le automatic transmission slipping at low speed?
My dad has a 2006 toyota sienna le automatic transmission that still is under warranty.
He says that the transmisssion slips during low speed operation.
for example, in a private driveway or residential area, the auto tranny slips when he starts to accelerate from around 15~20 mph to increase speed.
the car is still under warranty, so he visited the power toyota dealer many times but the technician would say its normal.
would there be any way to fix the problem or better convince/explain to the tech guy at power toyota dealer.
lastly, i just wanted to know, in automatic transmission in which im talking about, can the transmission slippage become worse overtime, or will it stay the same?
Thanks in advanced! :)
A: you need to be more aggressive with the tech or insist you take him for a drive and show him!! whats happening . Don't let them push you till the warranty is up insist there is a proplem and you want it fixed
Q: Last year a purchased a new 2006 Toyota sienna, it just passes 19k miles. Read Below...?
The dealer called me telling me that my brake pads were worn out and a needed to be replaced. I know it all depends on how you drive the vehicle. The dealer said it's usual for the sienna's because its a heavy car. Does this sound true or false? Does it sound like they were just trying to get 500 bucks from me?
A: I work for a Toyota dealership and no this does not seem uncommon. However, ask to see the brake pads, they recommend having them replaced at 2MM in the front and rear. Did they give you the measurements? More times then not, Toyota dealerships are not trying to rip people off to make money, but you never know. Ask them to show you the brake pads and physically do the measurement in front of you. It is expensive to get done, but if your pads are bad, its worth it for your safety.
Q: 2006 Toyota Sienna, 45k miles. Needs brakes. Shop says must replace rear rotor, impossible to turn. True?
Shop says the Sienna rear rotors were not designed to be turned, so must replace. Brakes have never been touched ( 45 k miles) so there is plenty of metal to work with. They say turning front rotors is advised and easily done.
A: Unfortunately, Toyota didn't use any extra metal on the rear discs. If they are still relatively thick and not warped, just hang pads. I'm surprised you got less than 80k out of your pads.
Q: In my Toyota Sienna 2006 what does the type and folder button on the stereo mean or do?
A: dig out you're owners manual it should explain you're stereo operation
Q: how much is cabin air filter for 2006 toyota sienna xle ?
A: Reed is confusing engine air filters on his link with the cabin air filters that go inside the air conditioner/heater assembly which this person is asking about. The factory filters from Toyota may vary a bit from dealer to dealer but are about $30-$38. They are not too hard to change if you have skinny hands up behind the glove box. It is amazing how much debris
they will filter out in a relatively short 15,000 mile period. When you see the dirt and consider what it kept out of you and your family's lungs, the price is not that great. T&T
Q: how much will you pay for a 2006 toyota sienna ce?
A: I would check out Edmunds TMV and browse around the Forums at Edmunds and the Sienna Owner's Club.
Q: Should brakes on a 2006 Toyota Sienna be worn out already? Only 27000 miles; horrible grinding sound.?
A: It is not normal for them to wear out unless they have been abused. Have them checked at a shop. It sounds like the pads and rotors need work.
Q: How do you add an 8th seat to a 7 seater Toyota Sienna XLE(2006) ?
A: If the vehicle came with that configuration, then to put another seat is ilegal and would void warranty if accident ect.
Q: Does a 2006 Toyota Sienna have Stow-N-Go for the backseats?
????????????????????????????????????????????????
A: The middle seats do not have stow and go but the back seats have something similar to it that go down into the trunk( which is very deep) and then you have a whole lot of room to fit whatever in like a bike or a couch, if u need lots of room the middle seats come out very easily, hope that helped =)
Q: 2006 Toyota Sienna LE?
How can I change my alarm when I activate or disactivate it instead of a beep I want a honk?
Its Key Less entry!!
A: i dont' believe you can unless you program the car internally. you may need to ask a dealer to do this.
