Q: Can you recommend an all-weather tire for a Toyota Sienna?
Need the best performing all-weather tire for a 2004 Toyota Sienna. Live in cold climate with some snow.

A: As far as I know, there are only 2 true all-weather/all-season tires on the market. These have both the severe weather snow-tire emblem (snowflake on mountain symbol) on the sidewall, and they also have a full UTAQ rating/treadwear warranty. Nokian WR All-Weather Plus (A.W.P): http://nokiantires.com/tyre?id=11884&group=1.01&name=Nokian+WR Nokian WR G2: http://nokiantires.com/tyre?id=11899&group=1.01&name=Nokian%20WRG2 Otherwise, you'd be looking for a more traditional mis-named "all-season" tire (really 3-season tire), preferrably with the M+S (mud and snow) rating on the tire sidewall (which denotes a deep tread to help move water/snow aside). If you're willing to limit yourself to just the options available at these sites, look at some of the tire reviews from Consumer Reports and at tirerack.com. You may also want to find a Sienna owner's group and ask for suggestions there.

I'm looking at some vans maybe think of purchasing one. What are the pros and cons of having the Toyota Sienna Le? Any kind of review is welcome

Q: Where is the A/V port for the factory DVD player in the Toyota Sienna located?
My wife and I recently purchased a Toyota Sienna 2009 XLE with the DVD player and JBL radio system. We were told we cool hook up a gaming system to play in the DVD player. I was just wondering where the A/V panel was located to do that.

A: Driver side third row, under the window. You have to open the plastic flap

Q: How to replace passenger side mirror on 2004 Toyota Sienna?
I need procedure on how to replace passenger side mirror on 2004 Toyota Sienna

A: You don't need to remove the door panel to replace the mirror. Start by opening the door and locate a triangular shape panel cover to the mirror. Pop the cover off and you will see 3 bolts/screws/nuts holding the mirror onto the door. The bolts are attached to the mirror so you'll want to remove the nuts, unclip the wiring connector and pull it away from the door. Make sure you've got a hand on the mirror before completely removing the last nut because it can fall out and hit your door panel.

Q: Rent Toyota Sienna from from Toronto to Florida?
I am looking to rent a Toyota Sienna. It seems that most car rental in Toronto only rent Dodge Caravans. I need it for 30 days for my trip to Florida.

A: Canadian rental cars now can;t be taken over the border if you have a Canadian license. Stupid I know, but I tried for months to be able to do this last year and it's just not possible with any company. In the end I had to drive my own van. I was wanting a rental in case of breakdowns so you only had to call them for a replacement, but it just could not happen. As soon as I told them I wanted to cross the border they said no way.

Q: Honda Odyssey over Toyota Sienna and why?
Narrowed my search down to these two minivans. If you own one or did, what is your experience with it and why is it better than the toyota sienna? thanks. Thanks for all the great answers, what year models are these? If you can please list the year when you answer that would help me out....as I am probably getting a pre-owned, 05-07.

A: Consumer Reports on both of them have them as RECOMMENDED USED CAR buys. The Sienna was a little better rated than the Odyssey in the 00-03 range, they seem about equal 04-07. I'd check autos.msn.com for their ratings and edmunds.com for consumer feedback to see if there are any common issues arising from each model. All things being equal in the ratings, it will probably come down to the OWNER of the vehicle - I look for a single owner that has been giving the van all the TLC that you would. BIG PLUSES TO LOOK FOR: garage kept, no stains, clean and original floor mats (means they kept them vaccuumed and washed which indicates care of the rest of the vehicle), synthetic oil and fluids (lowest wear AND further indicates they cared enough to spend the extra money) and lots of receipts to proving its maintenance (shows you the regular oil changes and all other maintenance it properly up to date). With these in mind, it is usually best to find one from the individual to guage the TLC. 2nd best option is a certified used from the dealer that has all the records but only pay the private party value and not the inflated retail price.

Q: For those who owns Toyota Sienna 8 passenger minivan?
I'm interested in 8 passenger seat Sienna with 2004 or newer (for that 2nd row power window) and was wondering... When you have that middle 8th seat in the 2nd row, how hard is it to get to the 3rd row seat? Can a person get into the 3rd row easily while the seats in the 2nd row is folded up or do I need to take the seat out in order to get to the 3rd row seat? (for example, to get stuff from 3rd row seat or to get a seat in 3rd row). Thank you.

A: THERE IS A LEVER ON BOTH OUTER CENTER ROW SEATS SO THAT THEY CAN BE FOLDED AND TUMBLED SO YOU CAN HAVE ACCESS TO THE THIRD ROW SEAT.VERY EASY TO DO.

Q: Where can I buy a Rear Center Seat for a Toyota Sienna minivan?
The rear center seat goes between the two seats that are located directly behind the driver and the passenger. The rear center seat made the Sienna an 8 passenger vehicle. 2004 -2008

A: I don't think you will be able to add the center seat to a 7 passenger Sienna minivan. The 8 passenger has a different floor layout where the seat attachments fasten to lock the seats in place. Though it's easy to think you're looking for a seat to put in the center row... this center seat on a 8 passenger Sienna has no arm rest and folds flat with a cup holder built into the back. The fact that it has different floor mount points will be the biggest determining factor that would allow it to be moved forward almost in between the front seats for easier access. Hope the Above Info Helps!

Q: What is the difference between the Toyota Sienna CE and LE?
I want to make sure the passengers in the rear are comfortable in the CE I am considering buying.

A: We have a SIENNA XLE and HIGHLANDER 6 cylinder All Wheel Drive (AWD). FYI we actually overlooked and did not realize our 2005 HIGHLANDER did not have Rear AC (note it was corrected on the 2008 version) which is an absolute must in terms of comfort on long trips. Besides Rear AC, and a larger cargo space in our Sienna minivan, another PLUS we like on our SIENNA XLE and most likely on an LE (but not true on CE) is the reclining CAPTAINS's CHAIRS esp since our kids often sleep the entire trip whereas the HIGHLANDER AWD is our vehicle choice during winter months. Hope the Above Info Helps!
